As I sit here with a purple shimmery face mask on (its like it was made for me)  I realize there’s nothing I love more (ok well there might be a few things) than having clean, fresh skin and pampering myself during my “regime” time.

I wanted to share some of my favourite beauty tips and tricks that you can add to your daily or weekly routine! Some you might know already and some might be new to you.

#1- Put on your eye cream with your ring finger- Don’t be rubbing your eye cream in hard with your index finger, don’t you dare! The area around your eyes are very sensitive so make sure you apply that eye cream with your ring finger. Why, you ask- because it applys the least amount of pressure out of all your fingers.

#2. Exfoliating gloves- These are for sure one of my favourite things invented. If you don’t know what they are, they are literally gloves you put on that have an exfoliating texture and you can get them anywhere. You can put some body wash on them and then start exfoliating! Now, if you haven’t used them before be careful, they can be pretty rough. You don’t need to apply a lot of pressure for them to do their job. Start off fairly light and then you can get as aggressive as you like. I always brush the gloves upwards towards the heart, starting down at my ankles. Also, if you have dry chapped lips, rub the exfoliating gloves over your lips for the smoothest feel ever!

#3. Apple cider vinegar rinse on your hair- This might sound weird but its pretty amazing, and I promise your hair wont smell like vinegar when its done.  The benefits of apple cider vinegar on your hair are:

*it stimulates the scalp to promote hair growth

*cleanses the hair without stripping natural oils

*removes build-up from chemical products

*helps hair retain moisture for better conditioning

*antibacterial and antifungal properties to help fight flaky and itchy scalps

*closes the hair cuticle for shine and fewer tangles.

To try this rinse, mix:

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water. Shampoo as normal, then apply the ,mixture and leave it on your hair for a few minutes before rinsing out.

#4. Dunk your freshly painted nails is ice water– I’m a nail polish queen, you will probably never catch me without any on. I don’t always paint them when I have a lot of time for them to dry,- I’m sure you paint them in a rush sometimes too right?  so if you don’t have any quick dry products, dip them in ice cold water or quickly run them under a cold tap and help them dry faster. It works!

If you have any favourite beauty tricks you want to share, I’d love to hear them:)
